Following on from my previous post about Wet n' Wild liquid lipstick - this is another little gem. I know I'm totally late to the brow party - forgive me - but lately, I've made it my little mission to upscale my brow skills, and this product has proven to be very helpful.
Why do I like it?
Firstly, it's cheap - I bought it on sale for around £2.74 (RRP £3.95). Secondly, the powders are really soft and pigmented, and last but not least, it makes a difference. Plus-plus-plus it's super easy to use.

The Brow Kit Includes: Brow Wax (to seal your eyebrows after filling them in with powder) A beigey brown powder - for those with dark blonde to light brown hair A dark brown powder - for those with dark brown to black hair A tweezer - to pluck excess hair and shape the brows A small angled brush - to apply the eyebrow powder and fill in your brows A mirror surface where the tweezer and the angled brush are so if you forget your mirror you can still have great brows |
This brow kit comes in 2 shades - soft brown & ash brown - so, naturally, choose what fits your hair colour/preference. Ash brown is the perfect brow kit for me and whilst I do tend to opt for the darker brown in the kit, I have to be careful, or else I can look more ferocious than fierce.
The process
Brows help frame the face - whether you like barely-there brows or bold ones - your choice will determine the overall vibe for how your makeup comes across. To show how this looks, I found a picture of barely-there natural brows (Thanks Cosmopolitan) and filled them in with the beige/light brown powder to show how they can be transformed. Hopefully, you can see that with a few swipes a soft demure carefree look is transformed into something more sculpted and thus seemingly sophisticated. Hey, I don't make the rules.
To fill in the brows above: I put some powder on the brush included in the kit, I tested its strength on the back of my hand removing any dramatic excess. Then I started at the inner part of the brow, creating light line strokes from the bottom of the brow upwards, I continued this method to around the middle, then I changed the angle to lightly create an arch. Lastly, I blended out the brows to have a uniform look and softened it later for a less strong look (in the last photo on the right-hand side).
Filling in my brow(s): I put some of the darkest powder on my brush, wiped off any excess, and then started to fill in the inner part of my brows where my hair is sparser using the technique I did above - but I only filled in the inner part and not the middle or end.
Thoughts on the Results
I think both demonstrations show that it doesn't take a lot to groom brows, a little goes a long way in the brow world, and it's best to decide whether it's worth filling in the entire brow or just filling in what you think is needed or missing. In my case, just filling in the inner part of my eyebrow made it look much more sculpted despite still being just as messy as the before but only slightly filled in. Of course, under normal circumstances, I would have brushed them better (not just with my fingers) but I wanted to show how a slight change can really make a difference. The editorial picture shows the same thing - this kit works and can be used on various skin tones and shades. If you're looking for a brow product where you can mix shades, and perfect your brow game without raiding your bank, this product is a sweet deal even when it's not on sale.
